Research advances in toughening modification methods and mechanism of epoxy resin

Abstract: The research advances in toughening modification of epoxy resin for recent years at home and abroad and the toughening mechanism were reviewed，involving thermoplastic resin，thermotropic liquid crystal polymers，interpenetrating network polymers，inorganic nanoparticles，core-shell structure polymer and hyperbranched polymer toughening . The future research trends for toughening technology of epoxy resin were prospected.
